The Sixth Sense

What is intuition? A gut feeling? Instinct? Your inner voice? The subconscious? Or a sixth sense? It is actually all of these, and the word you choose to describe it depends on your conditioning and beliefs. Intuition is not a special power that a few blessed souls possess; it is universal just like the sense of smell. Some of us may be more intuitive than others, but the fact is that all of us posses this sixth sense.

Theories of Intuition

A common theory of intuition is that everything in the universe is energy; needless to say, this is a well-accepted fact as well. In metaphysical terms all human interaction can be described as interaction between energies. Our bodies are capable of sensing the energies around us and our mind can sense the energy of every situation we visualize: this ability is called the sixth sense or intuition. By paying close attention to the subtle reactions of our body and mind to every person we meet and every situation we find ourselves in (visualized or present), we can understand and interpret the meaning of our mind and body reactions (Read: intuition).
