Every religion in the world stresses the power of faith. Stories in most religious texts have more metaphorical importance and should not necessarily be taken literally, but to be open to their lessons is critical to understanding where our own beliefs and level of faith reside. The same rule applies to stories of faith as well. The common element in all the stories below—despite the fact they are parts of texts belonging to different religions—is they stress on the importance of faith.
Most of the historical stories that have been handed down through the religious texts are stories asking you to walk in faith of a belief, without question. Applying these to real-life and current situations can be difficult. Adding in the Law of Attraction—remember it states “like attracts like”—your faith is not be based on pure “blind” belief, but rather on your actions supporting these beliefs.

Naturopathy and Self-Healing
Naturopathy is an alternative medicine system that believes in the healing power of nature. According to the naturopathy philosophy, our body has the capacity to heal itself of any disease if it is aided by the right natural elements. Naturopaths focus on educating people to make appropriate lifestyle changes to increase their body’s capacity to heal.
A Typical ND Visit
Similar to a visit with an MD, a visit to a naturopathic doctor begins and moves very similarly. A treatment typically begins with the ND (naturopathic doctor) taking down your physiological and psychological history as well as details about your lifestyle and diet. You may also be asked to undergo certain tests so the ND can examine your digestive process and figure out if you suffer from any nutritional deficiencies. The final diagnosis is made after taking into consideration your current spiritual, emotional as well as physical health.

Law of Attraction: Love and Happiness
The law of attraction states that every positive or negative event that happened in your life was attracted by you. Another way of saying this would be that thoughts influence chance. The Law of Attraction argues that "if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it."
This thought really is at the heart of Paulo Coelho’s now-famous book The Alchemist. His famous lines have been repeated in several movies, books and seminars: “If you want something badly enough to make it your destiny, the entire universe will conspire to let you have it.”

Team-Building Games: Not Just for Kids!
Lessons learned in childhood stay with us forever, so it is therefore important we teach children the important social skills they will need in order to grow and succeed as adults. Team spirit is one such essential skill. No matter what profession a person takes up, she will have to work as a part of a team at some point in her professional career as well as in her personal life—which is essentially in almost every experience. Team spirit, in fact, helps inculcate many other important values in an individual like discipline, dedication, consistency and flexibility, to name a few.
As much as we would like team-building games to be focused just on children during the middle school years, most of the following games can be adapted for adults to enjoy. The following team-building games can play an important part of any co-curricular activities to encourage students and employees to become better team players.

Nightmares: Room for Growth?
When we are moving through challenges or changes, we process these on all levels. How we deal with the changes and how we effectively process them can impact our sleep. In one way, we may manifest sleep disturbances via bad dreams or nightmares.
When we have a nightmare, it evokes feelings of distress, anxiety and fear. Nightmares generally induce complete or partial wakefulness, and people tend to remember them in more detail than normal dreams. Most people have a nightmare—a really serious nightmare, that is—only a few times in their lives. These dreams generally refer to emotional challenges relating to an issue they are too scared to explore while awake. The nightmare is a trigger for them to talk about it from a safer distance, thereby releasing what mental blockages were initially holding them back from exploring. Persistent or repetitive nightmares, however, can be a cause for a deeper concern, as not only do they lead to sleep disorders, but can be both the cause and effect of deeper psychological problems.

Meditation

Once we become conscious of the world around us, we begin a struggle to come to peace with ourselves and the world, to come to terms with the mysterious and in large measure unknown universe. Sages and seers have uncovered the answers within themselves through meditation. Today the world is going back to this age-old technique for wholesome living.
So, what is meditation? In simple terms, meditation can be defined as a process to concentrate on the inner self. It is also a kind of a practice to come into some sort of communion with the almighty. The practice of meditation not only provides spiritual fulfillment, but it is also now widely believed to provide holistic healing to those who practice it at a psychological as well as a physiological level.

Nutrition to Support Better Sleep

If you are suffering from sleeping disorders or frequently find yourself counting sheep to attract the ever-elusive sleep, you must check your dinner menu. Yes, what you eat at night has a huge impact on your sleeping pattern. While some foods can induce relaxation, others can make you uncomfortable or too alert to be able to get a good night’s rest.
Spicy meals may sound mouth watering—and indeed they are if you’ve got the taste for them—but having a spicy or heavy dinner is not a good idea, as it is likely to give you heartburn and consequently no or extremely disturbed sleep.

Healing Our DNA
.jpg)
DNA Healing (or Theta Programming, as it is popularly called) is a unique alternative therapy that is believed to aid in removing negative beliefs not just from our subconscious but also from our DNA. Our beliefs and behavior are the result of our conditioning. The things we grow up hearing, the attitudes of our parents, their beliefs and principles, the kinds of friends we make, the upbringing we have and more all help in shaping our conscious and subconscious beliefs about ourselves and life in general.
For instance, if you have grown up in a family where relationships were never given much importance, your view toward relationships would be similar. You may treat them as mere matters of convenience and might find it difficult to maintain long-term friendships or romantic relationships. Some of these attitudes become so deeply entrenched in our psyche that they become a part of our DNA; similarly, our parents’ deeply held beliefs and attitudes also get passed on to us.

The Purpose of Life

Man has forever sought answer to this question: What, after all, is the purpose of human life? Why have we been put in this world? Seers and gurus have been contemplating this eternal question for centuries, and the one thing that is perhaps common to all their teachings is the belief that the purpose of life is the attainment of peace; that is, such peace that does not suffer from the fear of change.
The next logical question that comes to mind after hearing this is, “How can one attain everlasting peace?” This can happen only after a thorough investigation is made concerning the nature of the body and the life force that is within it. But really, who has unlimited time to contemplate the meaning and purpose of life? The short cut is to delve into the most current “greatest” and “best” self-help book on the top seller list and hope for the best. Or even shorter is to assume our “peace” comes through our worldly possessions.

Getting and Managing a Business’s Online Reputation

“Need information? Google it!” That seems to be the mantra for almost everyone who has access to the Internet. The World Wide Web has so much information about everything under the sun that hitting the search button every time we need to find out something has become second nature to most of us. Having an online presence is therefore essential for the success and growth of any business. In fact, it isn’t just enough to have a presence; you must also be able to maintain your online reputation.
The best and worst thing about the Internet is that there is hardly any censorship in the virtual world, so people can say what they like about you through blogs and opinion polls. And unless what they are saying is pure slander, you will not be able to do anything about it. However, this doesn’t mean you have no control over your image and reputation; that is, you can take the following steps to build and maintain your brand value in the online world.

Visualization and Intent in Reiki

Visualization and good intent are two elements that, if combined with Reiki, can make the therapy all the more powerful. Visualization is a very powerful exercise on its own, and conjuring up a mental image of what you want helps your body and mind focus on accomplishing the goals you have set for yourself. When you visualize Reiki healing the body parts you are channeling energy to, you end up using two complementary techniques to heal the same part, thereby making the therapy even more effective.
Even when visualization techniques are used while healing someone else, they help in amplifying Reiki’s power. Reiki practitioners are the channels through which the energy flows, so when a practitioner conjures up mental images of the energy healing the body parts of the recipient (of Reiki), the energy becomes stronger…

Crystal Therapy: Just the Basics
.jpg)
As part of our growing panel of experts, we’ve been honored to have a trained crystalogiest among them: Rosemary Beam. If you have not read Ms. Beam’s recent blogs regarding Crystals and Chakras, then we highly recommend them as great reading opportunities.
We have been embracing the use of Crystal Therapy for a while and actively using crystals in sessions with clients. Therapy in Transition is not alone in embracing this popular form of alternative healing. Crystal Therapy is non-invasive, and people who embrace it swear by the healing power of crystals. Anyone can practice simple crystal healing techniques if open to receiving some basic information, like what crystals to use, how to choose your crystal, and how to cleanse them. We wanted to share from our personal experience and perspective which stones have supported us.

Human Resources: Stress Management Policies

If you are an HR professional, it’s a part of your job to make sure the employees of the organization for which you work remain productive and efficient. Devising policies and taking initiative to keep their stress levels to a minimum is an essential component of ensuring the efficiency level of the employees stays up to the mark. However, it is also a well-acknowledged fact in business circles that a little stress is essential in order to get peak performance out of employees. The vital question for HR professionals, therefore, is how to ensure stress levels in the organization do not rise too far above the required minimum. As we know, more does not equal better when referring to stress.
Office politics, harassment, intense work pressure and negative relationships with colleagues or managers are some of the most common causes of excessive stress in the workplace. While discord, politics and work pressure are inevitable by-components of working on a team, as an HR professional your job is to ensure these problems do not become unmanageable.

Anthony Robbins: Motivational Speaker
“There is no such thing as failure. There are only results.”
“Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.”
“If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.”
“You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action.”
Simple words that have inspired millions! Using his thought-provoking quotes is perhaps the best way to introduce the dynamic author and motivational speaker Anthony Robbins (popularly known as Tony).
Robbins’s seminars and books focus on improving our emotional and physical health, making our personal and business relationships more fulfilling, and acquiring and improving upon leadership, time management, and financial management skills. He uses NLP techniques to heal people of their phobias and self-limiting beliefs so they can lead impactful and fulfilling lives.
