
I can hear most of you saying to yourself, “No such thing!” or “Best laid plans …” or “Really?” And I am the first to agree. Just the idea or notion of being on a diet is a reason to stop reading. And like most of us, we start off our diet plans with a lot of enthusiasm, but very few of us manage to stick to them in the long run. Why? The problem could be lack of motivation, a flawed diet plan, or both. Or you can really think outside the cereal box and admit that dieting is not the right perspective. Changing your thinking from “starting a diet” to “beginning a new relationship with food” is the very first step. After arriving and beginning to believe this new perspective, your “diet” will be supportive of the results you seek. Having a plan is always a great idea, and finding the right motivation is another critical tool.
