Confidence + Goodwill = Success
Asking current clients for referrals can be difficult, but for moving forward it is an absolute necessity. What holds you back from asking? Your confidence: that's what! So how do you move through this confidence challenge? By looking back and identifying which of your clients had the greatest success. These individuals will be (and will continue to be) walking testimonials and advertisements for you and your business. Here are three tips to improve your business confidence and savvy while increasing your client base!
Take Stock & Boost Confidence
Your first priority is to gather all the positive feedback, comments and notes from current and previous clients you can find. Next, make a list and read through it a few times. Reading over your list of positive feedback will allow you to establish a mental and emotional connection based on positive thoughts and experiences. This allows you to reach out to each of these individuals more confidently. Asking for help is never easy, but when we make a positive emotional connection with those to whom we are reaching out, we can design a new thought pattern. With a new pattern in place, you create new beliefs—and your new beliefs increase your confidence level!
Using the positive comments from your clients in your communication, remind your clients of how much they appreciated what you have done for them. Then ask them for referrals to associates, family and friends who could use your services.

Law of Attraction and Attracting the Right Clients
All of us involved in either running our own businesses or who work in a field that requires any type of selling know the importance of attracting or bringing forward not just clients but the right client. The right clients are those individuals who need/want your product or service and are ready to invest.
The Law of Attraction has several practical applications. Once you are well-versed in its theoretical aspects, it isn’t difficult to apply it to various real life situations. In this instance of attracting the right clients, you want to do that so you can derive greater satisfaction from your work and generate more profits. The underlying key to successfully using the Law of Attraction is your being clear in what your client likes and feels as well as what motivates her to step into the action of investing with you, today.

Perfect Moment Monday: Gratitude
Each week I hold the intention to participate in Perfect Moment Monday, sponsored by Weebles Wobblog. According to Weebles, Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Here is my Perfect Moment for this week.
I have to admit this week is a week filled with many perfect moments, and I have be struggling since yesterday—Monday—with which one to choose and share with you all. So to ease my stress regarding trying to choose just one, then I will just take this time to share my gratitude for being able to truly co-create my life.

Client Management: When to Fire Clients

As a consultant you want both money and work satisfaction, right? You’ll get these two vital things only if you have the right clients. So, what do I mean by the “right clients,” you may ask? The answer: your clients should respect you, value your services and pay you well. As a small business owner you do not go into business for yourself with the risk and investment to lose money or just break even. You go into business to make money. Part of the responsibility of working for yourself is about knowing your limits and your area of expertise. When you don’t honor these elements, you run the risk of losing more than you could be gaining.
Several consultants have a huge client base, but their earnings really come from 20-25% of them because a lot of people try to squeeze as much as they can out of consultants without paying them what they deserve. Then again, there are also clients who treat consultants like commodities or mere trainers. While such clients may pay you well, at the end of the day people who don’t value your services are not good for your overall brand image. This is one of the many reasons you need to be able to truly identify your key target demographic and/or perfect client type.

Customer Service: What Entrepreneurs Need to Know
We’ve all heard the sayings, “A happy customer is a returning customer,” or “Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement.” Both of these philosophies or beliefs need to be taken to heart for those who are in business or looking to start their own business.
The success of any business depends on both of these ideologies. You need to make your customers happy! As important as this is for established businesses, for a new entrepreneur it is all that much more critical--and the following suggestions can help you ensure customer satisfaction and return clientele.

Embracing Change
My husband and I took our son for his first official haircut when he was 15 months old. The trauma of the event was not significant, but the energy exchange during the event was decidedly intense. My son went from sitting on my lap and enjoying the process while my husband entertained him to the opposite end of the spectrum, screaming and struggling to be let down. As you can imagine, it was an emotional roller coaster for all three of us.

Connecting With Angels
Seeking Guidance
Whatever a person’s belief system might be – whether it is formalized religion, a spiritual focus, or a combination of a few – each of us likes to feel connected to those who are supporting us from the other side, other realms, or even an alternate universe. One of the underlying commonalities is that there is something greater than ourselves from which we seek to hear, see and receive guidance. One thing I have come to know is true is that our guides and angels are always around us, and they are willing to gently guide us toward becoming better and happier human beings. All we need to do is to request them for help.
There are several ways to communicate with your angels. Some of the simplest and most common ones are...

Where has the time gone?
I can not believe it has been two weeks since my last posting here! Where has the time gone? The summer is not just cruising by ... it is jetting by and I can not get over how much I have actually gotten done.
Over the last six weeks I have been averaging 4 - 6 clients a week and it looks like I will be getting some much needed rest over the next little while. This is perfect timing. It never ceases to amaze me how the universe truly supports my higher purpose and journey in life. The next few weeks looks like I will a little lull in the number of clients coming through my door which affords me the time to revamp my website. I got the bug last week while my best girl friend was here visiting with her son and I happen to be up feeding my own son at 3am one morning.
I signed the contract and paid the fee to have a basic template put together for me which looks like it will be ready for me to start filling in content and configuring the members area. Yes ... you are reading that right. Therapy in Transition will be offering the ability for clients to sign up and access the library of information that is used during their sessions and to exchange information with other individuals as well.
We will also be starting a lending library here in the office where individuals and clients will be able to borrow books which seem to be calling out to them. The exact details of the lending library are still being worked on but it will be awesome when it is ready for our clients.
This is a short one but wishing you all a wonderful day and until next time ... Embrace your inner wisdom!
Namaste,
Karen

Client Communications – to do or not to do?
Recently I have been blessed with approximately 20 new clients or potential clients as I offered 25 time slots for people to experience the amazing healing effects of Craniosacral for free. I did this for a few good reasons. One was to practice what I had just finished learning at a recent training; two was to offer a gift to women who truly offered me an amazing amount of support through my pregnancy and post-partum; and three to begin the first of three marketing steps of getting the word out about what I do and how it can positively affect those who are open to receiving it. My ultimate goal was to have individuals begin to talk about my practice and as we know word of mouth is the strongest form of marketing we can engage in.
This has been an amazing experience both for me personally and professionally. Personally I have grown a tremendous amount by making a connection with each of these women and feel I have made a positive impact on their lives and those they interact with.
Professionally I have learned quite a bit. People when they get something for free can sometimes not see the true value behind it and somehow feel it is okay to not communicate their change of schedules. This definitely has a ripple effect for everyone. Example, if a client is running late for a free session they seem not to feel inclined to call and let me know not realizing that I have hired a woman who does administrative support to come in and assume the role of ‘housekeeper/nanny’ during the sessions. Whether or not a person shows up on time, late or does a no show I still keep my obligation to pay this woman her appropriate hours plus whatever time overage occurs. As business professionals I believe it is important no matter what ‘fees’ we might be paying for a service to communicate a change in our arrival time even if we think we’ll get there exactly at the time of the appointment. If there is even a hint of being a few minutes late it is important to communicate the possibility of a change of arrival.
Part of what I have learned is the importance to take the initiative of communicating with my clients prior to their sessions; to remind them first of the appointment and second to remind them of the policy regarding no shows and lateness. The other part is when having the desire to give the gift of my time to instead ask for a nominal fee which I will then donate to a charity. Then the client feels they are paying for not just a worthwhile service but supporting a good cause as a result.
The ultimate question regarding to communicate or not is definitely answered with a loud resounding “YES”.
Thanks for reading. Until next time … Embrace Your Inner Wisdom.
